Lincoln Park · Getting here

Getting to our Lincoln Park office.

We're on the 8th floor of the North Avenue Collections building, at the corner of North Avenue and Sheffield. Most patients drive in and use the Sheffield garage, but the Red Line stop is three blocks away and rideshare drop-off is straightforward if you know which door to use.

Save a step at the Sheffield garage

Register your plate before you drive over.

The Sheffield deck no longer issues paper tickets. The gate reads your license plate. Patients who pre-register on the Legacy Parking site sail in and out; ones who don't have to pay full rate at the kiosk and can't apply our QR validation.

By car

Use the Sheffield parking deck just south of North Avenue. The garage no longer issues paper tickets. You must register your license plate with Legacy Parking before you reach the gate.

  1. Before you leave home

Open the Legacy Parking site or the Legacy Parking mobile app and register your license plate. If you don't, the camera at the exit won't recognize your vehicle and you'll have to pay full rate at the kiosk. (Legacy Parking site opens in a new tab.)
  2. Pulling in

The Sheffield garage entrance is on the west side of the building, just south of North Avenue. Drive through the ticketless entry. The gate reads your plate and lifts automatically.
  3. Getting to the office

The first set of elevators in the garage only serves garage floors. Walk past them and enter the office building on the third floor. Take the second set of elevators (past the FFC Gym) up to the 8th floor.
  4. Validate at the front desk

Ask our team for a QR code at check-in. Scan it at the garage kiosk on your way out for one complimentary hour of parking; a discounted rate applies if you stay longer.

By Uber / Lyft

Drop-off is fastest on Sheffield, not North Avenue. The North Avenue side is a busy four-lane corridor; the Sheffield side has space to pull over.

  1. Pin the right address

Use 939 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60642. If the driver asks, the building is "North Avenue Collections," southeast corner of North and Sheffield.
  2. Tell the driver to use the Sheffield side

Have them pull over on Sheffield just south of North Avenue. The lobby entrance on the third floor (off the parking deck) is the most direct route in.
  3. Take the right elevators

Once inside, take the elevators past the FFC Gym up to the 8th floor. Our reception is straight off the elevator bank.

By CTA

The Red Line North/Clybourn stop is a three-block walk west on North Avenue. The #72 North Avenue bus stops in front of the building.

  1. Red Line: North/Clybourn

Exit on the west side of the station and walk three blocks west on North Avenue. We're at the corner of North and Sheffield in the North Avenue Collections building, on the 8th floor.
  2. #72 North Avenue bus

The #72 stops directly in front of the building in both directions. Use the building's North Avenue entrance and take the elevators up to floor 8.
  3. Blue Line: Damen

If you're coming from Wicker Park or Logan Square, the #72 from Damen drops you at the front door in about 15 minutes.

By bike

Divvy stations are within a block in any direction. North Avenue has a buffered bike lane, but the safer crosstown route is Wood/Wieland one block south.

  1. Closest Divvy stations

North & Sheffield (directly across from us) and Marcey & Kingsbury (one block north) typically have both docks and e-bikes available.
  2. Bike parking

Outdoor racks are along the Sheffield side of the building. If you'd rather bring your bike inside, the building allows it on the freight elevator. Let our front desk know when you arrive.

Frequent questions

What if I forget to register my plate before I arrive?
You can still register at the kiosk inside the garage, but it's slower and our front desk QR code may not apply retroactively. If you're running late, call us at the office and we'll walk you through it.
Is there a drop-off zone for patients with limited mobility?
Yes. The building's main lobby on North Avenue has an ADA-accessible entrance with an automatic door. Drivers can pull into the loading area for a short drop-off. The elevators in the main lobby reach the 8th floor directly without needing the garage-side stack.
How long does the validated parking last?
Our QR code covers the first hour. Anything beyond that bills at the discounted Legacy rate. A typical hygiene visit fits inside the free hour comfortably; longer treatment days may run over.
Is street parking an option?
Some metered spots exist on Sheffield south of North Avenue and on the side streets, but they fill quickly on weekdays. The garage is faster and the validated rate usually beats meter time for anything longer than 30 minutes.

Stuck at the garage? Can't find the door?

Call our Lincoln Park front desk and we'll talk you through it.

Need accessibility help on arrival? Let us know ahead of time and we'll have a team member meet you at the entrance.

Running late? Call us. We hold appointment slots for a short grace window.
