Dr. Praveen Gajendrareddy is the periodontist who places implants at this office. He is board certified, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontics at the UIC College of Dentistry, and he treats at both of our locations. The general dentists who build the crown work in the same building, so its shade and shape get settled while the implant is still being planned, rather than at a separate appointment somewhere else once the post has already fused. Bone grafting, sinus lifts, and soft-tissue work happen here rather than being referred out, which matters to the calendar more than anything else: a case sent elsewhere for grafting and then returned commonly loses months between the two appointments.
How long dental implants actually take
Implant timelines are mostly healing, not appointments. A graft needs four to six months to integrate before an implant can be placed, and the implant needs three to six months to fuse before the final crown goes on. None of that shortens by going somewhere else, so the honest version is worth having up front, in writing, with each stage priced separately. - Yes. Schaumburg has evening appointments several weekdays (hours vary by day; Wednesday we're open noon–8:00 PM), and Saturday hours 8:00 AM–2:00 PM. Surgical placement is usually scheduled for daytime; consults and follow-ups can be after work.
