Invisalign and clear aligners

Clear aligners are custom, removable trays that gradually straighten teeth without metal braces, worn 20–22 hours a day over about 6–18 months. We offer Invisalign for patients who want that brand, and other professional aligner systems when they suit your case and goals.

Clear aligner treatment, including Invisalign when it is the best fit, works for many adult and teen orthodontic cases: crowding, spacing, mild bite issues, and relapse after traditional braces. We begin with a complimentary consultation and a 3D scan, with a clear projection of your outcome and timeline before you commit.

Treatment typically spans 6–18 months. You'll wear each set of aligners for approximately one week, then progress to the next in the series, with periodic check-ins at our office. Since the trays are removable for eating and brushing, many patients find them remarkably easy to integrate into their daily lives.

Common questions

How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Most cases run 6–18 months. Mild crowding can finish in 4–6 months; more complex cases can run closer to 24.
How many hours a day do I wear my aligners?
Plan on 20–22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush. Consistent wear time is the single biggest factor in finishing on schedule. Mild cases can wrap up in 4–6 months, while comprehensive cases usually run 12–18 months.
Do clear aligners hurt?
It's pressure, not sharp pain, most noticeable in the first day or two of each new tray. Most patients find it easier than traditional braces.
Will clear aligners work for my case?
Often yes. Clear aligners, including Invisalign when appropriate, cover many orthodontic situations. At your free consultation we'll tell you honestly if braces or another approach would serve you better.
How much do clear aligners cost?
Pricing depends on case complexity and which aligner system you choose. Most adult cases land in a typical orthodontic range. Insurance with orthodontic benefits may apply; Care Credit and Cherry financing are available.
Do you offer clear aligners for teens?
Yes. Teen patients may use Invisalign Teen when indicated, or other teen-friendly clear aligner protocols. Teens often prefer removable trays for sports and photos.
Is Invisalign FSA or HSA eligible?
Yes. Orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign and other clear aligner systems, is an eligible expense under both FSA and HSA accounts. Many patients pay their down payment from the account and finance the balance through Care Credit or Cherry.
How do I take care of my aligners?
Rinse them with cool water every time you take them out. Brush them gently with a soft toothbrush and clear, unscented soap. Avoid hot water (it warps the plastic) and toothpaste with whitening agents (it scratches them). Always brush your teeth before putting them back in to prevent cavities.
